Cancellation of Canadian Investiture

Uncategorized

Dear Confreres and Consoeurs,

With recent events in Toronto and around the world, it is my sad duty to inform you that the Canadian Commandery has had to cancel the scheduled June 13th Canadian Investiture. We had hoped that the corona virus would have passed the need for restrictions on travel and contact by then (and it hopefully still will), but the uncertainty makes it impossible to proceed as planned. With regret we are cancelling the Toronto event.

Anyone who has prepaid for the events will have their money refunded in full. Members who would have been admitted or advanced will still proceed with their advancement this year and their insignia and brevets will be forwarded to them by mail. They will have the opportunity to be formally advanced at a future ceremony.

I am sorry that circumstances have dictated the cancellation of this well-attended and much enjoyed event. The safety of our members is our first concern.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Be safe and healthy.

With warmest fraternal regards,

H.E. The Chevalier Dr. David Douglas GCJ
Commander of Canada
